This very old and beautiful lighthouse, called Great Captain Island Lighthouse, sits off the shore of Greenwich Connecticut in Long Island Sound. It is quite old with a construction date of 1829. It is on the National Register of Historic Places and is owned by the United States Coast Guard Academy. It is the very first lighthouse ever built in stone.
